A one day painting workshop / Competition was held on 30th September, 2025, at the State Academy of Music & Dance, organised by the Department of Art & Culture, Nagaland, on the theme, ‘Seva Parv – Vision of Viksit Bharat’.

A one day painting workshop / Competition was held on 30th September, 2025, at the State Academy of Music & Dance, organised by the Department of Art & Culture, Nagaland, on the theme, ‘Seva Parv – Vision of Viksit Bharat’.

Speaking on the occasion as special guest, Shri Vilalhou Noudi, eminent Artist and recipient of the prestigious Governor’s Award for excellence in the field of Arts (2012), said that God created man with the ability to imagine, which is powerful tool for creativity. And with this unique gift, only humans beings have the ability create something beautiful out of nothing.

Eighty seven students from 9 Schools participated in the programme. With the art materials provided, the students produced vibrant creative images of their understanding and hope of a ‘Developed India by 2047’.

Following were declared the winners:
1st prize, Jongpen Pongen, Jo Foundation Inclusive School (₹10000).
2nd prize, Bautuk S. Phom, Ministers’ Hill Baptist Higher Secondary School (₹5000)
3rd prize, Yohulu Medeo, Fernwood School(₹2500)

3 consolation prizes (₹1000 each)
⁃ Wangoi Büchem, Stella Higher Secondary School
⁃ Sangke Mansha, Mezhür Higher Secondary School
⁃ Medole, Fernwood School.
